At Heap Bridge Village Primary School, the whole school have celebrated and supported Safer Internet Day.

This year, Safer Internet Days theme was ‘Together for a better internet!’

We started the day with a whole school assembly led by our Digital Leaders, discussing how to stay safe online.

Then, every class took part in an e safety lesson alongside a Digital Leader to help facilitate part of the lesson. Each class received a Safer Internet Day certificate for taking part.

As part of our e safety unit in computing this Spring term, Digital Leaders have also been helping with e safety displays around the school and have been holding drop in sessions at lunch time for other children, to help them with their computing queries.

Throughout the day, many classes blogged what they had been up to and we tweeted using our school twitter page to show our support.

We were also recognised for supporting SID 2019 on the Safer Internet website.

A fun packed day with lots of very handy hints on how to stay safe online!

Thank you to all staff and children for taking part and together we can make our internet a safer place!

Your assembly was great from the pictures we could see. The digital leaders are so confident to do a whole school assembly.

I loved making a PowerPoint for my class. I think they enjoyed it too. They answered a range of questions that were part of a quiz I made.
