We started this term by carrying out a survey to find out which Apps were being used in our classrooms. Our results showed that both teachers and children were not using many Apps and that staff did not know which Apps were good to use in the classroom.
We decided to start working with Key Stage 1 and we invited the children to lunch time sessions. We introduced Daisy the Dinosaur which allowed the children to explore coding. We modelled to the children how to create their own sequences. The children that attended our sessions can now use the App independently.
We invited Key Stage 2 children to look at Cargo bot.
This term we have also helped Mrs Hindley carry out Pupil voice for Computing. All our children said they enjoyed computing lessons but would like more time to use the iPads in other subjects.
