Challenge 1 and 2- Milnrow Parish

Our first job was to recruit Year 5 Digital Leaders. We made up questions, interviewed those interested and decided on four new Digital Leaders to join the current Year 6 ones.
Our Digital Leaders this year are Romey, Charlie, George and Betsy (Year 6) and Reed, Eliyah, Olivia and Beth (Year 5).

We then prepared and presented an assembly to the whole school reminding them of our role in school. We organised a competition to help reduce screen time in school, and we gave out prizes for the best posters encouraging activities away from the screen.

We created posters to put up around school to promote us as digital leaders, and also put up the winning screen time posters. We also updated our display board in school.

We often go into Key Stage 1 classes to help children log in and read online safety stories. We also organise the laptop and ipad trolleys in school.

We have set up a page on our school website which explains who we are and what our role is in school. We have included a team photo and a link to the digital leader’s page. We have also created a PowerPoint and a video promoting online safety which we are going to post to the website.
